Yes, this is not your modern day Father's Day greeting. The child who gave his father this card (love those colors!) probably remembers his dad coming home from work and enjoying a pipe by the fire, or a cigarette in the cellar, or workshop. Maybe I've been watching too many 1930s movies, but besides what is obvious to us now, it is a fun card and beautiful picture that will make your dad smile and might bring back a memory or two!
Inspired by the Marx Brothers, in their screwball comedy film 'Animal Crackers' what a fun design this is! Click on any image for the Redbubble page for over 50 fun weareables, accessories and great gift ideas!
My uncle Don was a saver. He kept records of family vacations, also the maps, postcards and placemats of their family journeys. It's fun to look back today at the World's Fair 1964 information packet that was sent to him. I'm glad he kept those things and that I can share some of that fun with you. Favorite summer memories? What will you do this summer?
Wise words that inspire you, that help you, that you share. What about from a future self, or a past self who is looking ahead? Imagine the possibilities... What about a character you've created if you're a writer? What wise words do they have for you, and others? Better start writing!
It's that time again, new moon arrives May 15th, 1:30pm CDT. Now is the perfect time to focus on what you want to achieve, accomplish, create, develop and begin. What will May and June become for you? Blossom and grow!
Wild onions for a fun and spicy Mother's Day gift. How about a special lunch to go with it? I've not harvested wild onions, but every morning I pick fresh dandelions in my yard for my turtles to munch on. (I use no chemicals on my lawn) Bon Ape'tit!
Every day can be Mother's Day with a beautiful journal and/or planner. I have been encouraging my mother to write her memoirs, to have fun remembering special times, people and places. And a bright bouquet of Hydrangea might be the perfect place!
