My first sighting of a Screech Owl in the wild, thanks to the generosity of a birder at the park where I usually spend time.. If I had not gone to the park that day. If I had not seen the birder and got out of my car to speak to him. If I had not answered his questions about owls... He told me where he'd seen this beauty. Birders are often very secretive about their sightings. To protect the birds, mostly from too many prying eyes. Writing prompt: Your serendipitous moment of the week? Writing prompt: Write a serendipitous moment in your ongoing work. Cause and effect? Today I am grateful for a Barred owl sighting at my favorite spot. And no one else was there. I observed the owl from far off, then quietly left. Today I can give from my heart: moment by moment of calm. #Writingprompt #serendipity #ScreechOwl #HollowTree #Nature #February #IdesOfMarch #owls

What are you an expert at? You probably can list dozens of things that you want to improve about yourself, or that you feel you need to improve about yourself. Let's take today and think about the things we are experts at. Writing prompt: I am an expert at: make a list here Writing prompt: When and how do I share my expertise with the world? It now gets new life with Canva's new (new to me) filters. It is from a photo from a real tablecloth that belonged to my grandmother. #Writingprompt #expert #lists #areaofexpertise #shareyourgifts #shareyourskills #shareyourknowledge
The Perelandra website underwent a complete restructuring last year. I am still discovering hidden and not so hidden treasures on the new website. Consider this wealth of information, garnered from decades of research, and information from Nature herself/himself/itself. (note the capital N, we are dealing with a very worthy being in 'Nature') https://perelandra-ltd.com/blog/author/question-line-duo https://perelandra-ltd.com/blog/category/learning-library Even on a day with a wind chill of -20, the cardinals are still singing. We can be inspired by their strength, their at-one-ness with their surroundings. It sounds like they are experiencing joy. Writing prompt: Experience joy in a surprising place or circumstance. This harkens back to the previous blog post: simple solutions. I have been delighted to find more solutions "hidden in plain sight" recently, and I now wonder what might happen if I took a problem I'm facing, and looked at possible solutions this way. What is the solution was right there, but yet "hidden?" It's indeed a curious question, a curious way of looking at the world. At living. Writing prompt: What about you? Would you like to try this experiment? Writing prompt: Write about a glorious solution you discovered! (Maybe this is only in your mind at present, but still...) Today I am grateful for: Cozy warmth and enjoying home cooked pizza. Today I can give from my heart: Sharing. #Writingprompt #solutions #resources #answers #HiddenInPlainSight #Magick
Easy solutions right in front of you. Why are they so difficult to find? Maybe things come when we are ready for them? Although that can try our patience. Staying centered (not always easy) staying grounded (again, not always easy) staying aware (doable) and surprising ourselves with what we do get done. Writing prompt: When did you discover something right under your nose that turned out to be a "game changer" for you? Writing prompt: Was it something you shared with others? Today I can give from my heart: to do my best, even if I do not feel like I can. Today I am grateful for the warmer weather. Whew! The Your Notebook! Let's revisit Steve Allen. From Wikipedia: He was American television and radio personality, comedian, musician, composer, writer, and actor. The second serendipitous moment also happened on Feb 2, which as Feast of St. Brigid, Candlemas and Imbolc is so fitting. I went into the grocery store for more organic cilantro for making more zhoug sauce. As I approached the produce, I overheard the word "turtle" which of course perked my interest. I approached a woman and mentioned I'd heard "turtle." It turned out she'd been talking with a couple who were buying leafy greens for their tortoise. (There is not nutritional value for turtles in lettuce) We discussed diets and she told me that she operates a bunny rescue! https://www.wonderbunny.org/ We chatted a while about rescuing turtles, snapping turtles, etc. A delightful connection in an unexpected place is a very good thing! Writing prompt: Create a serendipitous connection today Writing prompt: Remember the Peace Process - you need to de-stress often these days. Do this instead of "doomscrolling." https://christianmickelsen.com/peace-process-gift Today I can give from my heart the gift of awareness Today I am grateful for following my intuition, guidance, what have you, so that serendipitous moments can occur. #writingprompt #serendipity #Bunnyrescue #de-stress #peaceprocess #doomscrolling #otherchoices
Doing the Sunday things, and realigning with the thoughts and ideas that give energy to creating the kind of world we want to create. A good point from one of the YouTube psychics that bring learning and joy with their videos is that the depths of this darkness that many are experiencing, is setting up for a huge energy shift in the opposite direction - a huge expansion of light. Newton's Third Law of Motion: action then reaction. Focus on the world you want to live in. This doesn't mean we have our heads in the sand, but at least give as much (hopefully a lot more) energy toward the good that is going on around us. I delivered a meal tonite to a small townhouse. I was grumbling to myself about the pay being only $6, and as I approached the house, I couldn't help noticing beautiful sparkling lights in the small tree and sparkling lanterns set up near the driveway and also on posts near the front door. I could tell the person who lived here "Katherine B" was a gardener, there were carefully covered pots around a small front yard area behind a tall entrance gate. I left the Culver's bag and I received a heartfelt thank you message right away from "Katherine." I texted back "You're welcome" and then I complimented her magical sparkling lights and I said I hoped she would feel better soon. What wonderful payment in a nourishing and good shared experience. Writing prompt: Write about an exchange that blessed all involved. Writing prompt: Write about turning an experience into an uplifting "energy exchange.". Today I am grateful for: Katherine and our shared experience Today I can give from my heart: joy. #Writingprompt #sparklinglights #Imbolc #Candlemas #GroundhogDay #DarknessIntoLight #Energy #Helpers #NewtonsLawOfMotion #ActionReaction |
