Balance is one of those things that can catch you off guard - when things are out of balance. When you've been pushing too hard in one direction and all of a sudden you discover that you are out of balance. You need a break, activity in another direction, to focus elsewhere to bring things back into balance. Sometimes blessed insights come after a night's sleep. I've spoken before about nature being the best example we have - because nature always strives for balance. The house is gone but flagstones and walkways remain. Even a cement birdbath. The flagstones and paths feel very solid and it is a very peaceful spot despite traffic being nearby.
Years ago, I babysat for a Greek family and for a short time I became interested in learning the Greek language. Some of the alphabet knowledge stayed with me. (Later in my college years, I was the little sister to a fraternity: Sigma Phi Epsilon.) I always remembered the pronunciation of the Greek word 'tranquility' "tran quee lee tay" meaning quiet.
