It's easy to identify with our careers, when our jobs take up the majority of our days and most of our time and attention. We yearn for days of more freedom and more time to just be authentic and to enjoy others being their authentic selves. When we align life purpose and our goals and also contributing to society, and keeping it all in balance (or striving toward that) do you think that will offer more happiness and more fulfillment? It's something to think about.. Writing prompt: Does your career align with your life purpose? Do you want to change that? Writing prompt: How is your career an expression of your life goals? How might you improve that? Today's Halloween fun is Screaming Yellow Theater, a Friday night TV series that ran from 1970 to 1973. At first Jerry G. Bishop did voice over intros to movies only, but then the Svengoolie character made his debut. A ghoul hippie who talked like Bela Lugosi, Svengoolie hosted a whopping 285 episodes. Screaming Yellow Theater featured schlocky and usually low budget horror films with Svengoolie segments before and after commercial breaks. It aired on Friday nights at 10:30pm in Chicagoland. Often guest stars would autograph Sven's coffin before opening it and releasing Sven. There were running gags and Sven's main sidekicks were Zelda the skeleton head and Durwood the ventriloquists' dummy. Today I am grateful for: fond memories from my past. Today I can give from my heart: understanding to others and to myself.
