Love

My deep love for the natural world began when my grandparents would take us for long walks in the woods. My love for animals grew over time, I went from the "normal" diet to becoming vegetarian at age 19. Even though we didn't have all the information we do today about how animals are treated, I knew their lives were not respected and were probably very cruel. Love for animals drove me to try and do as little harm as possible to them.  I could go on with the various species whose lives I've encountered... My love of horses and wanting to help improve the way horses are treated in this country is very important to me.
