lhttps://www.nokings.org/#map Lasting, healthy societal change and evolution happens from the bottom up, not the top down. People of all ages across the United States and around the globe will be taking to the streets in protest. Are You Ready? We're calling on all of our Perelandra people to get out there and take a (literal) stand for democracy, for human rights, for civil rights. Do what you can to make it happen. All you need is a sign and a place to meet. If you don't already have a plan, you can find a group near you on this map and website. https://perelandra-ltd.com/ Like everything, looking to our dear Perelandra friends for support. Lots of great tips and suggestions here. Hectic beyond hectic week. But feeling very blessed and hope you are too. When we consider solutions for restoring environmental and health balance to ourselves and an out-of-balance world, we need only access the intelligence of nature for answers.

As a distraction, I guess, from the horrific news that seems to be a nonstop these days, I've been delving more and more into history. The History Chicks has been a long time favorite of mine and it's been around since 2011! Hosted by Beckett and Susan: thehistorychicks.com/ Newer to me is 'The Rest Is History' podcast, found on YouTube and through your usual podcast places. It's interesting that as you learn about The Medicis or Mary Queen of Scots you begin to see that horrific politics has always been around. Money, power, greed, have driven people since money, power and greed have been thought to create happiness. That's nothing new and offers a bit of solace. https://fixthenews.com/ from the ABOUT page: Fix The News is an independent, subscriber-supported publication, read by people from 195 countries. Each week, we find stories of progress from around the world, and share them in our email newsletter. We have a podcast too, called Hope Is A Verb, where we interview people doing extraordinary things to make the world a better place. And "good news for progressives" - The Smile https://www.readthesmile.com/ Highlights from the week: library crafts, welcoming Autumn! Discovering new online writing groups. More about that next time! I am thankful for answers, solutions, support, help when we need it. #Writingprompt #wordprompt #history #TheHistoryChicks #TheRestIsHistory #TheSmile ##FixTheNews
Finally. History of the Farmer's Almanac: https://www.almanac.com/bakers-dozen-almanac-editors A favorite season after battling the temps of an elongated summer. Very glad to put this one behind me. And us. Here's to all the things we love about Autumn. And then some! Writing prompt: How about a change to your writing schedule? Writing prompt: Goals that are not goals, un-goals to accomplish? Highlights of the week: discovering some new online writer's groups, coming to terms with things I can not change, finding ways to help that benefit everyone involved. #writingprompt #wordprompt #autumnleaves #writinggroups #FarmersAlmanac #goals #LiveInTheMoment
Who Gets What and Crockery Cookbook Journals It's always a question how much time you should spend on things that involve the past vs doing things that you want to do for today. I thought I would begin editing and redoing the 1000 journals I've published since 2016. But when you think about authors and their works of fiction, or nonfiction, they might have the same feelings, but they forge ahead and create new works, because, honestly who has the time? We improve with each new creation, whether it be art, or writing or a way of doing things.. Allowing that growth is the important thing. Writing prompt: Most important focus for me today is: Writing prompt: How am I honing my skills as I forge ahead? Highlights of the week: enjoying thehistorychicks.com/, laser eye surgery procedure, the tiniest hint of autumn is in the air, car repairs not as devastating as first thought they would be. #writingprompt #wordprompt #whogetswhat #crockerycookbook #legacyjournal #whattodowithmystuff #TheHistoryChicks
Something I'd been dreading for a while happened to me this week: a "temporary" crown fell out, just as I sat enjoying some homemade soup. It was put in in 2020, so it lasted a good long time for being temporary. Now the search begins for a new dentist. That's not an easy feat, is it? You have to find one who is in your 'plan' and then the maze of form filling out begins. The kind of thing that's easy to procrastinate about. It's such an odd thing that some things we hop right to when doing them, and other tasks just sit in the back of our minds, gathering cobwebs. Today is Lazy Mom's Day, the first Friday in September. Cheers to all moms (including fur baby moms) and hopes that everyone gets to enjoy something just for them today. Writing prompt: What would you most enjoy on a "do nothing" day? Writing prompt: Are you a procrastinator? Why? Highlights of the week so far: wonderful breezes, pattypan squash, the season's first apple dumplings, and I'd been putting off doing some craft stuff, and I finally just went ahead and did it. #Writingprompt #wordprompt #procrastination #crafts #sublimination #appledumplings #lazymomsday #September #Autumn
Film fun: today I'm thinking about a movie I was introduced to back in the late 1990s, from the small branch library near our house. 'The Castle' is about the Kerrigans, an Australian family who fight to keep their home after they and their neighbors receive compulsory acquisition letters. Quirky and heartwarming and worth a watch. from Wikipedia: "Shot in 11 days on a budget of approximately A$750,000,[3] The Castle gained widespread acclaim in Australia, where it is considered one of the greatest Australian films ever made. It grossed A$10,326,428 at the box office in Australia" Writing prompt: Home Sweet Home. What's your take? Writing prompt: what unique attributes can you add to your characters, your setting, and your story? Highlights of the week: lots of smiles from my almost three month old grandson. Settling into thoughts and ideas for welcoming Autumn. Woods walk. (Still many mosquitos! - will try again soon) An unexpected sale! Finding unexpected support and surprising helpers. Blessings. #Writingprompt #wordprompt #TheCastle #AustralianFilm #1990sMovie #Joustingsticks #PrettyGoodGate #PreAutumn #Grandson #GrandsonLaughter
Navigating.... Ever since I discovered how simple it is to record audios on my phone, I've enjoyed using that handy device for thoughts, conversations, ideas in the moment, cicadas, beautiful sounds.. And then suddenly there are over 100 "uncategorized audios" that need "categorizing." A good reminder of how those tiny moments, those small actions add up. I know how to waste time, it follows that I know how to "un-waste time." I've gotten sloppy and distracted lately but I am not beyond saving. And I will stage a come back. Writing prompt: Great ideas of the week? Writing prompt: I found a joyful moment, where? Highlights of this week include: AUTUMN-ISH WEATHER!!!!! Cool breezes. Delicious creamy frothy hot green tea made with oat milk. Bringing out a ceramic pumpkin. It begins! Sadness this week: my 95 year old stepmother, a beautiful shining star, peacefully passed away. #writingprompt #wordprompt #joyfulmoments #greatideas #latesummer #August #smalltasks #autumnweather #Autumniscoming
How long has it been since you enjoyed a good hearty laugh? So much around us is very serious, and it's not always easy to conjure up a hearty laugh, but I know you will feel better if you find something that will make you laugh. Sometimes for me that's remembering something funny that one of my kids said, or that was said to me, even years ago.. Or an old favorite comforting movie, I recently watched 'The Gods Must Be Crazy' and some scenes made me laugh out loud.. I highly recommend this movie. Writing prompt: Write something that could make you laugh Writing prompt: Bring a moment of joy (or remembered joy) into your life Today I am grateful for the people who have brought me such moments of joy Highlights from the past week: walks with my dog at the park including walking inside the butterfly garden (which we had not done before) new pictures of my grandson, and successful baking of my favorite pretzel/bagel recipe. RAIN. Grateful for rain!. It's been a while. For support, I highly recommend the MAP program (which stands for Medical Assistant Program) created by Machaelle Small Wright (Perelandra) and a wonderful https://perelandra-ltd.com/blog/learning-library/map-stress-sessions.html https://perelandra-ltd.com/blog/author/question-line-duo #writingprompt #wordprompt #highlightsoftheweek #rain #laughter #MAP #Perelandra #MAPStressSession #TheGodsMustBeCrazy #butterflygarden
With the closing of the Lion's Gate Portal, we come to Obon. Honoring the ancestors and welcoming them back. Here are two beautiful pieces of Japanese art created in honor of Obon, artwork that was created many decades ago. Obon is very similar to the core idea of Halloween and that must be why I love Obon so much, because I am a huge fan of Halloween, and honoring our ancestors, and leaving out lanterns and special gifts for them. Halloween has it's Jack-O-Lanterns and Obon has it's straw horses and lanterns. Come back, dear ancestors, come back! We honor you! Writing prompt: Ways you can honor your ancestors Writing prompt: Create a new tradition for your ancestors Today I am grateful for the feeling of magic that is upon us. Today I can give from my heart: heartfelt thanks. #Writingprompt #wordprompt #Obon #Japan #August #Halloween #DanceForObon #StrawHorse #ObonLantern #Magic #wonder #ancestors #WelcomeBack #homecoming #SukiyakiSong #Time
